I am in Sedona, Arizona, not in Texas, and we say so up front. Distance has never stopped a family bringing one of our puppies home. Texas sends me more enquiries than any state except my own. Phoenix has nonstop flights to Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio, all around two hours, and El Paso is close enough to Sedona that people drive it in a long day on the I-10.

Every puppy we have right now, all purebred, raised in our home and ready for a family in Texas.
Getting a puppy to Texas
- Ground transport to your door. A transporter collects your puppy from us and drives it to you in Texas, in a carrier, fed and watered on the way, and hands it to you in person.
- Flight nanny. About 2 hours from Phoenix. A nanny flies with your puppy in the cabin and hands it to you at arrivals. PHX nonstop to DFW, IAH, AUS or SAT; El Paso is a day by road.
- Fly in and fly home together. An 8lb puppy is carry-on. Fly into Phoenix, meet us, and fly home with your puppy under the seat in front of you.
- Meet us in Arizona. If you are driving through or making a trip of it, we meet you at a public place we agree on. We run a closed kennel to protect the puppies, so meetups happen there rather than at the house.
Whichever way, your puppy travels with a person, never as cargo, and the cost is quoted for your address.

Keeping a Shih Tzu in Texas
The thing I would tell any Texan before they took one of my puppies home is that Houston and Phoenix are both hot, and only one of them is easy on a Shih Tzu. Humidity is the problem for a flat-faced dog, because panting does not work when the air is already wet. Gulf coast summers mean short walks, air conditioning, and a dog that lives indoors from June to September. Dallas, Austin and San Antonio are drier and a little kinder. The Panhandle is genuinely fine.
