Shih Tzu Puppies for Sale in Arizona
Arizona is the one state where none of this is complicated. There is no flight to book, no transporter to arrange and nobody to hand your puppy to but me. We pick a morning, I bring your puppy to wherever suits you, and you drive home with it asleep on somebody’s lap. Phoenix and Scottsdale are two hours down the I-17 from here, Flagstaff is forty minutes the other way, Prescott is over the mountain and Tucson is a long morning.
This is home. I am in Sedona, and most of Arizona is a morning drive away: Phoenix and Scottsdale in about two hours down the I-17, Flagstaff in under an hour the other way, Prescott across the mountain, Tucson in a bit under four. Wherever you are in the state, we will meet you at a public place we agree on to hand over your puppy.

Bringing your puppy home in Arizona
You come to me. There is no delivery to arrange, no airport, nothing to book. We fix a time, you drive up, you spend as long as you want with the puppies, and if one of them is right you pay and take it home the same day. In summer we will suggest a morning handover, because a flat-faced puppy and a Phoenix afternoon are not a good mix. Sedona is cooler than the Valley by ten or fifteen degrees most days, which is one of the reasons the dogs do well here.

Meeting you in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson or anywhere else in Arizona
Phoenix and Scottsdale are two hours down the I-17 from me and Mesa is just east of them. Flagstaff is forty minutes north, Prescott is over the mountain in about ninety, and Tucson is the long one at a bit under four hours. There is nowhere in Arizona I have refused to drive to yet.
Keeping a Shih Tzu in Arizona
An Arizona summer is the thing to plan around with this breed. A Shih Tzu cools itself through its nose and a short nose does that badly, so from May to September walks happen at dawn and after dark, the pavement gets the back of your hand before the dog stands on it, and the house stays air conditioned. Dry heat is easier on them than humid heat, which is a genuine advantage of living here over most of the country, but a hundred and ten degrees is a hundred and ten degrees. Winters are nothing to them, even up here where it snows.

Anywhere you like. I have driven to Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tucson, Flagstaff and Prescott, and if you are somewhere not on that list it is almost certainly still a morning from me. We agree a public place that suits us both and I bring your puppy, its health record and everything it is going home with.
Can I come to Sedona and see the puppies first?
Not at the house, and I would rather tell you why than fob you off. I keep a closed kennel while the puppies’ immune systems are still coming along, so I do not have visitors through where they live. What I do instead is send you as many photographs and videos as you care to ask for, answer anything you want to know about the one you like, and then meet you in person with the puppy before a penny changes hands.

The one real advantage of living here is that dry heat is easier on a flat-faced dog than the wet heat back east, and Sedona itself runs ten or fifteen degrees cooler than the Valley, which is part of why mine do well.
